This is a limited edition Fender 1951 Telecaster heavy relic finished in aged butterscotch which was made as a limited run. If you’re into really unique creations from the Custom Shop this is one to check out. What sets this Telecaster apart is the humbucker in the neck and the crushed tele bridge pickup. The Fender Custom Shop is proud to offer this historic guitar with all the customized modifications made famous by players and technicians throughout its storied history. The two-piece ash body wears a Heavy Relic lacquer finish that imparts the look and feel of a well-loved instrument that’s seen its share of action. The tinted rift-sawn maple neck has a comfortable 10/’56 “V” profile, topped with a 9.5” fingerboard radius with 21 narrow tall frets.
A Seymour Duncan® Seth Lover humbucker neck pickup and hand-wound “Crushed” Blackguard Tele bridge pickup are combined with dual-stack HS Tele wiring to create a perfect sonic balance using 250k (bridge) and 500k (neck) volume and tone potentiometers. Other features include ’51 Nocaster® bridge with compensated brass saddles, single-ply black pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and disk string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
