There are a couple of chips in the paint as noted on the lower cutaway horn and the upper back area near the body cut. The guitar plays great and was set up by Gary Brawer in San Francisco. Previous owner changed out the pickups from the originals about a year ago and installed a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position and and Suhr Alnico V in the Bridge position. These are zebra pickups, added gold knobs and a ivory selector switch tip to give it a new look. I really like these pickups better then the original because they have more power. The custom shop models that cost $7500 use these types of pickup. However, I have included all the original pickups, knob and switch cover in case the new owner wants to change it back. I have the original plastic lined case which. will be included in this sale.
Unfortunately, previous owner had a dunlop pick holder glued to the back of the head stock. when he removed it, part of the serial number came off. please examine pics. You can see photos of the minor blemishes you would expect from a working guitar that is over 30 years old.
The guitar has a pickup split switch, special tone controls that Robben helped design. The neck is similar to a Les Paul and has a C shape. The weight is 8.2 lbs. This guitar is chambered and has the sound of a 335, Les Paul and when in single coil mode a Strat. Non-original Fender case. Great guitar
