This guitar has been with me for 30 years! The wear you see is good/honest playing time, no ‘relic’ job here. Custom constructed to my specs, nitro pink (hey, it was the 80s) with Seymour Duncan Broadcaster in bridge (best Tele pickup they made at the time, by far) and stock Duncan in the neck. I had it professionally refret a few years back with StewMac #0154 fret wire [.10” x .05”], which makes it so much more playable. I also had the wonderful Kluson tuners that target the ‘F’ tuner era – you can see I was going for a ’68ish thing. I always toyed around with the idea of installing a B-bender and/or paisley overlay. Of course, the key difference here which I really like is the lam rosewood board. I prefer those tones. The neck is full, not overly thin or baseball bat. It’s been worn into almost a satin/silky feel that is super comfortable.
At the time when I bought it, the luthier said he hand built the neck and body, but I can’t substantiate that, so we are referring to it a Partscaster, though I always thought so much more of it than that.
Ships in a new Fender gig bag.
